Heater fails to ignite, combustion air fan motor is operating

Possible cause Remedy
  Dosing pump is not delivering Check for continuity to ground at 6-pin connector X1 Pin 6.
If no continuity to ground is indicated, check wiring and plug connection.
If no fault can be located, replace dosing pump
  Overvoltage because battery charger is connected Disconnect battery charger
  Burner insert has been incorrectly mounted, or burner matting is worn Inspect burner insert, replace if necessary and install new one in accordance with directions contained in workshop manual
  The control unit detects a fault in the following circuits: combustion air fan, circulating pump, glow plug/flame detector. Fault lock-out and run-down period are initiated Locate defective component and replace.
Combustion air fan and circulating pump: Check for continuity and housing ground connection at connector X4 / X5 (check wires bk / br).
Glow plug/flame detector: Measure resistance at connector X3, wire ye / ye at 25°C. Resistance should be 0.3 - 0.6 Ohm;
Test current: < 5 mA
  Resistance of glow plug/flame detector too high Replace glow plug/flame detector in accordance with directions given in the workshop manual
  Defective control unit Replace control unit / heat exchanger in accordance with directions given in the workshop manual
